He was born July 29, 1929 in Salt Rock Twp. Marion County, Ohio to the late Richard and Flora (Holbrook) Vaughn. On June 29th, 1957 he married Ruth (Schwemly) who survives.

Chief Master Sgt. John D. Wurm, 68 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday Nov. 23, 2014 at the Hospice House in Ashland, he had battled cancer for the past 15 years. John was born June 2, 1946 in Bucyrus to the late Albert A. and Hazel (Bigler) Wurm. He was married Jan. 27, 1968 to Debbie (Means) Wurm, who he adored, she survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson Clay Stewart and sister in law Ramona Wurm.
