Biography:

 Gary L. Johnson, 64 of Carrothers passed away on Thursday April 7, 2016 at Bucyrus Community Hospital, his death was unexpected.  Gary was born Sept. 4, 1951 in Portsmouth, OH to the late John Henry Johnson and Dixie Juanita (Keeton) Brown who survives in South Webster, OH.  He was married August 28, 1971 to Ruthie (Goin) Johnson who survives.

Gary is also survived by children Gary (Laura) Johnson Jr. of Nevada; Wayne (Becky) Johnson of Marion; Jessica (Shawn) Wyandt of Carrothers; grandchildren Kyle, Anthony, Bryan, and Kevyn; siblings Larry (Annette) Johnson, Garrison KY; Donna (Rocky) Fletcher, Sciotoville, OH; Mike Johnson, Portsmouth; Carolyn (Larry) Evans, South Webster, OH; Dixie (Robert) Vulgamore, Mumford, OH; Billy (Robin) Johnson, Bucyrus and Mary Johnson of South Webster,.

Gary worked for Lennox Armstrong in Bellevue for over 30 years and retired from IB Tech in Bucyrus.  He moved to the community 44 years ago.  Gary enjoyed playing corn hole, camping, dancing, raising chickens, and most of all his children.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 4:00 pm with a closed casket in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Brooks and Rev. Nathan Hale officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com

So sorry to hear of your loss. Gary and I were 1st cousin and grew up together. But went on and raised our family. Was able to see him at his retirement party thanks to his son Wayne. He will be missed.
