Biography:  Lois Mae Heid, 92, a long time Bucyrus resident and most recently of Westerville, passed away on Monday Dec. 1, 2014 at Heartland of Westerville.  Lois was born May 12, 1922 in Bucyrus to the late Bert Hummel Smith and Clemmie A. (Steiner) Smith.  She was married May 12, 1943 to George F. Heid who preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1996.  She was also preceded in death by brother Carl Smith and sister Lurla Starling.

Lois is survived by son Robert Heid of Westerville, OH; grandchildren Rodney (Wendy) Heid of St. Clair Shores MI; Stacey (Dan) Vatter of McComb, MI; Karie Simms of Reynoldsburg, OH; great grandchildren Steve and Jake Heid; Makinsie Ryan; Drake Vatter; and Victor and John Hammons.

Lois moved to the Delaware and Westerville area 15 years ago to be closer to her son.  She attended Holmes Liberty High School.  Lois worked as a cook at Bob’s Sandwich Shop, did cooking and nursing at the former Westfall Nursing Home and cooked at the County Home.  In addition, Lois did housework in Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of services.  The family suggests memorials be made to Drill4Life through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com

Bob, My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mother was the sweetest and funniest lady. Mom and I both loved her. She will be missed.
