Biography:

Patricia Ann Powell was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on 2 December 1943 to Anna M (Kraft) and Frank Lambert. She met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face-to-face on 2 April 2020.

Pat lived in Bucyrus and the surrounding area the majority of her life. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1961 then went on to graduate from the Mid-Ohio Practical Nurse program. She worked as an LPN at Galion Community Hospital from 1969 to 1997.

Pat loved cooking, writing poetry, and singing gospel music. She sang in area churches, at weddings, funerals, baptisms, and frequently to her patients in the ICU. One of her proudest accomplishments was recording records in Nashville twice and in Indianapolis. Her signature song was Ave Maria.

She was a voracious reader. She read her Bible through many, many times and loved fiction.

Pat will forever be remembered as a character. She was strong-willed, and resilient. One never had to wonder what she was thinking because she would say so with absolutely no filter. But her heart was filled with endless love for everyone she knew.

She spent countless hours on the phone talking, encouraging, gossiping, and ministering. She shared her faith with everyone she knew. One of her pet projects was collecting clothing for those less fortunate and anyone who needed it. She cooked for everyone. Her potato salad was legendary, her macaroni and cheese,   divine. Deviled eggs, well not so much, but her heart was always in the right place.

She sent numerous greeting cards, always with an uplifting, encouraging word, regardless of how she was feeling at the time. Pat loved her family with ferocity, embraced her blended family, and treated everyone the same regardless of who they came from.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather James L Francis.  Brothers: Clarence E. Long II, Harry H. Long, and Bill Francis. Sisters: Thelma Hickam, Alice Ashwell, Carol Cox, and sister-in-love Marilyn Long. Niece: Dana VanAntwerp, and Nephew Anthony Kurt Long.

Pat is survived by: Sisters: Sharon Miller, Edith Whited, and Charlene Markley. Nieces: Lisa Preisler, Cathy Wolfe, Theresa King, Linda Dawson, and Denise Long. Nephew: Clarence E. Long III. Stepdaughter Tami Riddlebarger: Step-Grandchildren; Tierra, Tahalia, Michael, and faithful friend Gladys Hayes.

Pat had numerous precious great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many good, loyal friends.

Memorial services will take place at a later date. You are welcome to send condolences via mail or online at www.munzpirnstill.com

Kay and I extend our sympathy to the family of our dear friend, Pat. We were classmates at Sulphur Springs High School and graduated together in 1961. Even though we now live in Florida, Pat and I always kept in contact with each other. We will certainly miss her phone calls at birthdays and anniversary dates.
