Biography:

Francis Geneva Mofford, 91 of Bucyrus went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 8, 2020 surrounded by her family and friends.  Francis was born April 25, 1928 in Lewis County, KY to the late Joseph and Ella (Rose) Switzer.  She was also preceded in death by sons Gary and Bob Mofford; sisters Wilma Davis and Mary Ginn; brothers Raymond, Ernie, Richard, Clarence, and Allen Switzer; son-in-laws Melvin Renchen and Thomas Walker; daughter-in-law Ruth Mofford; and three grandchildren Taunia Mofford, Chad Weddington, and Kelly Scott.

Francis is survived by four children, Wallace (Tammy) Weddington, JoAnn Renchen, Wilma Walker, and Bill (Kim) Mofford; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and one sister Anna Rice.

Francis was a kind, loving, and faithful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She babysat many, many children over the years and attended the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church where she loved spending time cleaning the church and teaching Sunday School.  She enjoyed working outside in the flower beds, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and spending countless hours with her little shadow "Elle".  Most of all she loved to share her love of the Lord.  She will always be remembered as the greatest blessing of our lives.

The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday at the Dickerson Funeral Home, Vanceburg from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Dickerson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Old Black Oak Cemetery.  The family suggests memorials be made to Home Care Matters Hospice and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com

Oh what joy our blessed Sister in Christ is experiencing in the arms of our beloved Savior. I know she has no pain and is singing God's praises, rejoicing with loved ones who have gone on before her. I cannot begin to express how much all of us in our family loved her nor how much we will miss her. Sister Moffard was a great blessing to all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone one of you. May God bring you comfort and peace.
