Biography: Richard Dean Sipes, 89 of Bucyrus passed away on December 3, 2019 at home. Richard was born September 19, 1930 in Bucyrus to the late Arthur and Hattie (Fisher) Sipes. He was also preceded in death by son Dean and Six siblings.
Richard is survived by wife Hester (Messer) Sipes; daughter Rebecca (Alan) Thederahn of Westerville; grandchildren Noah (Abigail) Thederahn and Zane Thederahn; brothers Frank of Indiana and William of Sullivan Ohio; sisters Rosie Schwartz of Bucyrus and Mudge Tallman of Tennessee .
Richard retired from The Timken Company in 1991 after 39 years. He attended Bucyrus High School and was a Korean War Army Veteran serving with the 45th Infantry. Richard enjoyed playing horseshoes and was a member of a local horseshoe club.
