Biography:

Erlene "Nene" (Powers) Rupe, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday December 5, 2019 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.  Erlene was born May 24, 1947 in Bucyrus to the late Earl and Virginia M. (Garvin) Powers.

Erlene is survived by son Jesse Raifsnider and daughter Tina Hyer both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Michael (Contessa) Hyer, Jesse Baird, Shaina Hyer, Brandon Hyer, Dylan (Emma) Raifsnider, Chelsea Civay, and Dakota Raifsnider; 6 great grandchildren; sister Rita Brown and her husband Neil; nephew Anthony Van Houten; one great nephew and two great nieces; as well as many cousins.

Erlene lived her entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1965.  She retired from General Electric in 2002 after 33 years.  Erlene enjoyed gardening and crocheting and several years ago bowled and golfed.  Most of all Erlene enjoyed her grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Hurles officiating with burial to follow in Brokensword Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to Debbie's Footsteps through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
